Less is More 26...Feeling Fruity

The challenge at Less is More this week is to make cards with fruit on them!  I was having so much fun, I came up with 3:
This was made with a couple very old stamps by A Stamp in the Hand.  I colored the pear with More Mustard, Crumb Cake along the edges and Old Olive markers and used a Ranger spritzer and misted water on the stamp and then stamped it on Gina K Pure Luxury paper.  I masked the pear and added the sentiment in what else...Pear Pizzazz.  Added ribbon. Layered on Old Olive card.

I made this with a Stampin Up stamp(I just bought the cherries and the stems separately, not a set, on ebay...I LOVE all things cherry:)!!). I stamped the cherries with ruby red, clear embossed and cut out.  The stem is stamped in Wild Wasabi, embossed and cut out.  I popped them up on piece of dp from Mike's(I think...or Joann's) .  The sentiment is Papertrey Ink....masking the sweet and stamping in Ruby red and Stazon black.  White paper is bazzill .
This card was made with an apple stamp from a set of 4 apples by Hero Arts, the sentiment Hero Arts, as well.  Stamped on polka dotted bazzill from Mike's, clear embossed and cut out.  Layered on same paper and then on bazzill white dry embossed with apple folder(quickutz).  Added ribbon tied with Bow Easy and red button threaded with floss. I know this one is a little complex for Less is More...I'm sorry...there is a bit of white, but this card took on a life of it's own when I got going....
Thanks for taking a look...another fun challenge:)!!

  8. Oh Lisa these are wonderful and I'm so pleased you had some me time to make them :)
I love the pop of the cherries on the black DP, the pear is amazing with all your colour shading. I love the apple card, especially the embossing folder you used..it's still got white space!

I hear what you say and can sort of understand about Noah. Our lad James, is 15 and Autistic and at the height of 6' 2" is not easy to handle sometimes. Luckily he has always slept well but has problems in other areas and the holidays are always a challenge.
I hope things continue to resolve themselves for you :)

  11. Oh, Lisa, sometimes life gets in the way of stamping! It's probably good as it keeps our focus on what's really important, family! I think you are so amazing and such an inspiration. I'm so glad you got to stamp today and you stamped beautifully as always. You and Noah are in my prayers.

  12. Lisa, these cards are all amazing! Each so different and each so beautiful! I think that the time you managed in craft room must have been really therapeutic for you, it was certainly wonderful for us to see the 'fruits' or your endeavours. (I didn't really intend that pun, sorry, it just kinda happened)
All good wishes for you and Noah!
    Thanks so much

  13. Absolutely lovely cards! I really like the last one, and I think it still passes muster as having enough "white space". Regardless, they're all great.
I'm glad you got some time to craft after such a hard week. A little time to yourself thinking of something other than the everyday can be very therapeutic. I hope Noah feels better soon.

  18. I always get a little lift when I see those Stamp In The Hand pears used. I have them as well (the row, the single as you used, the script). So that is obviously my favourite card of your three. But the others are great as well - I especially like the apple embossed background on the apple card! TFS

  23. Lisa,
Sorry for the late comment. All three of your cards are beautiful. I especially love the cherry card (may have to case that one).

My heart goes out to you and your son. Its hard enough raising them when they are healthy, but as you say, it's just a different journey.

Sending virtual energy since I have a bit to spare this weekend. :)
